What's the difference between building and contents insurance?
Building Insurance covers the building and permanently attached fixtures, for example:
- walls
- roof
- windows
- doors
- kitchen cabinets
- solar panels, and
- hot water system.
It also covers other structures, such as garages and fences.
Contents Insurance covers the household items you own, like:
- carpet
- furniture
- unattached appliances
- clothing
- jewellery
- curtains, and
- rugs.
