Frequently asked questions
For making a payment
If you have just moved to NSW and your vehicle is still registered interstate, you will still be able to purchase a Green Slip to establish your registration by providing a vehicle identifier.
That depends on how you make your payment. If you pay by phone, internet or in person at a GIO or Suncorp Bank Branch, an eGreen Slip will be sent to the RMS within 1 hour. If you pay at Australia Post or by BPAY, allow up to 3 business days for an eGreen Slip to be sent to the RMS.
If your vehicle is registered in NSW, Short Term Registration (STR) provides different options when renewing registration.
