What you'll need before claiming
- Your GIO policy number
- Details about when the incident occurred and what happened.
- Details of what has been affected e.g. broken window, roof damaged by fallen tree.
- To help speed up your claim, for electrical items please have details about the make and model handy.
Please note: If the loss is caused by theft, you should notify the police and obtain a report.
