What does third party car insurance cover?
Third party car insurance covers your liability if you cause damage to someone else’s property while driving. This typically includes damage to
- other vehicles
- buildings
- fences, or
- other people’s belongings.
It does not cover damage to your own car (except for fire and theft included with Fire, Theft and Third Party Property Insurance). It’s designed to help protect you from the financial impact of having to pay for repairs or replacement of someone else’s car or property if you’re at fault in an accident.
