GIO – MONEY CAN’T BUY TRIP FOR 4 TO AUCKLAND TO CHEER ON THE BLUES IN 2027 TERMS & CONDITIONS

PARTICIPATION

1. This Competition ("Competition") is conducted by AAI Limited ABN 48 005 297 807 trading as GIO of 10 Shelley Street, Barangaroo, NSW 2000, phone 13 10 10 (“the Promoter”).

2. All entry instructions and information provided by the Promoter form part of these Terms and Conditions. By entering, entrants accept these Terms and Conditions.

3. The Competition is only open to individuals who:

(a) are Australian residents aged 18 years or older at time of entry; and

(b) are not directors, management or employees, or their immediate family members of the Promoter or its related companies, its agencies, or other companies associated with, or benefiting from, the Competition ("Eligible Entrant").

A reference to “immediate family member(s)” means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or cousin.

4. Competition entry commences at 12.00am AEST on 25 May 2026 and closes at 11.59pm AEDT on 7 October 2026 ("Competition Period").

ENTRY

5. In these conditions:

        “Competition Website” means gio.com.au/blues

        “Car and Vehicle Insurance Policy” means a new GIO (Car and/or Motorcycle) Insurance Policy (excluding other vehicle insurance such as caravan, commercial vehicles and boat, and  CTP Insurance) issued by AAI Limited ABN 48 005 297 807 trading as GIO. AAI Limited’s normal underwriting criteria apply. Excludes renewals.

        “Eligible Entry” means a quote that qualifies for entry i.e, a quote that is applied for and received from the Promoter during the Competition Period, in the manner specified in these Terms and Conditions (including a unique quote reference number and the Eligible Entrant requirements).

        “Home & Contents Insurance Policy” means a new GIO Home & Contents Insurance Policy (including building only, contents only or building and contents cover, but excluding strata and landlord) issued by AAI Limited ABN 48 005 297 807 trading as GIO. AAI Limited’s normal underwriting criteria apply. Excludes renewals.

6. To enter the Competition, an Eligible Entrant must, during the Competition Period:

(a) visit gio.com.au/blues and request a quote for a Car and Vehicle Insurance Policy and/or a Home & Contents Insurance Policy; and

(b) use the link displayed on the ‘Quote Summary’ page to access the entry form on the Competition Website, complete it, and submit an Eligible Entry that includes the unique quote number provided at the end of the quote.

7. The Promoter reserves the right, subject to any directions from a regulatory authority, to modify or suspend the Competition Website from time to time (at the Promoter’s discretion) without notice to any Eligible Entrant due to unforeseen circumstances out of the Promoter’s control (for example, a website outage or security risk). The Promoter is not responsible for any error, omission, interruption or delay an Eligible Entrant may experience as a result.

8. GIO is a business name of AAI Limited trading as GIO. Insurance is issued by AAI Limited ABN 48 005 297 807 AFSL 230859. Read the relevant Product Disclosure Statement before buying insurance and consider whether this insurance is right for you before acting on it. Target Market Determination is also available. 9. Multiple entries are permitted, subject to the conditions below:

(a) Eligible Entrants will receive one (1) entry per quote for requesting a quote for a Car and Vehicle Insurance Policy, and/or one (1) entry for requesting a quote for a Home & Contents Insurance Policy;

(b) Each entry must be completed in accordance with the Eligible Entry requirements; and

(c) A maximum of 10 (ten) entries is permitted per person during the Competition Period.

10. Entries must be received by the Promoter during the Competition Period. Entries will be deemed received by the Promoter at the time that it is received by the Promoter’s information system.

11. The Promoter may, with reasonable grounds, declare an entry invalid if the entry is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or disqualify any Eligible Entrant that tampers with the entry process or benefits from such tampering or otherwise acts in a manner that is unlawful, disruptive, dishonest or calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of this Competition. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. The Promoter's legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.

12. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to require an Eligible Entrant to verify the validity of their entry within a reasonable requested time, including but not limited to their identity, age, place of residence and eligibility, and to disqualify any Eligible Entrant who does not satisfy the entry criteria in these Terms and Conditions.

13. If there is a dispute as to the identity of an Eligible Entrant, the Promoter reserves the right to determine the identity of the Eligible Entrant.

DRAW AND PRIZE

14. There will be one (1) draw conducted for entries received during the Competition Period. The draw will take place at Anisimoff Legal Level 3, 162 Collins Street, Melbourne VIC 3000 at 11:00am AEDT on 13 October 2026, in the presence of an independent scrutineer. The Promoter may draw additional reserve entries and record them in order in case an invalid entry or ineligible entrant is drawn (“Reserve Entries”).

15. The first valid entry drawn will win a trip for four (4) people to Auckland, New Zealand, to attend the 2027 Ampol State of Origin Match valued at up to AUD$17,160 (depending on point of departure). The prize includes:

  • Four (4) x return economy airfares from the winner's nearest Australian capital city to Auckland, New Zealand;
  • Two (2) nights minimum 4-star accommodation in two (2) twin rooms in Auckland, New Zealand;
  • Four (4) tickets to the 2027 Ampol State of Origin match to be hosted in Auckland, New Zealand;
  • A $500 Uber allowance;
  • AUD$1,000 spending money (for the winner);
  • A merch pack per person valued at $250 each; and
  • The opportunity to participate in a Westpac NSW Blues dressing room tour hosted by a Blues Legend before the game.

Additional spending money, meals, taxes (excluding airline and airport taxes), insurance, passports, visas, vaccinations, transport to and from departure point, transfers, items of a personal nature, in-room charges and all other ancillary costs are not included.

16. Prize must be taken to coincide with the 2027 Ampol State of Origin match hosted in Auckland, New Zealand, currently scheduled to take place in June 2027. Flights are subject to booking and flight availability. During the entire duration of the prize, a nominated parent/guardian must accompany any person under 18 years of age. The winner and their companion/s must depart from and return to the same departure point and travel together. The itinerary to be determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion. Frequent flyer points will not form part of the prize. The prize is subject to the standard terms and conditions of individual prize and service providers. The winner may be required to present their credit card at accommodation check in. In the event of war, terrorism, a state of emergency, a pandemic, or any other disaster or unforeseeable event beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion or to suspend, substitute or modify a prize, subject to any written directions from a relevant regulatory authority.

17. Cash component of the prize will be awarded in the form of an electronic funds transfer (EFT) into the winner’s nominated Australian bank account in their name. Winner is responsible for providing full and accurate bank details. The Promoter will not be responsible for incorrect details being provided, a banking institution rejecting an EFT payment, or any costs associated with locating any lost monies.

18. Any ancillary costs associated with redeeming the Uber allowance are not included. Any unused balance of the Uber allowance will not be awarded as cash. Redemption of the Uber allowance is subject to any terms and conditions of the issuer including those specified on the Uber allowance.

19. The 2027 Ampol State of Origin match tickets are subject to the event venue and ticket terms and conditions, including any applicable age restriction. The Promoter and event organisers reserve the right to eject the winner (and/or their companion/s) for any inappropriate behaviour, including but not limited to intoxication, whilst participating in any element of the prize.

PROVISIONS APPLICABLE TO PRIZE GENERALLY

20. The total prize pool is valued at up to AUD$17,160 (depending on point of departure).

21. Subject to the unclaimed prize draw clause, if for any reason the winner does not take the prize (or an element of the prize) by the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the prize (or that element of the prize) will be forfeited.

22. If the prize (or part of the prize) is unavailable (unavailable does not mean postponed, rescheduled or unable to be taken or used by the winner) for any reason outside the Promoter’s control, the Promoter may, substitute the prize (or part of the prize) with a prize to the equal value and/or specification, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority. Subject to any applicable law which cannot be excluded, the Promoter accepts no other liability or responsibility for any loss incurred by a winner or any other party if a prize is unavailable for any reason.

23. Other than as expressly stated in these Terms and Conditions, the prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, non-exchangeable, non-replaceable, and non-redeemable for another prize including cash, except at the Promoter’s discretion and subject to relevant State and Territory legislation.

PRIZE WINNER

24. The winner will be notified in writing by email (and by phone) within seven (7) days of the draw. 

25. The prize notification will include instructions as to how the winner is to claim their prize. 

26. The prize will only be awarded following any winner validation and verification that the Promoter reasonably requires.

27. The winner’s details (last name, first initial and postcode) will be published on the Competition Website on 20 October 2026. 

28. The prize must be claimed by 9 November 2026 (for the original winner) and 7 December 2026  (for the winner of the unclaimed prize draw, if required).

29. A draw for the prize, if unclaimed, may take place on 10 November 2026 at the same time and place as the original draw, subject to any directions from a regulatory authority. The winner (if required) will be notified in writing by email (and by phone) within seven (7 days) of the draw and their details (first initial, surname and postcode) will be published online on the Competition Website on 17 November 2026.

GENERAL

30. Nothing in these terms and conditions restricts, excludes or modifies any consumer rights under any statute including the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth). 

31. If this Competition is not capable of running as planned, or is interfered with or disrupted in any way due to unforeseen circumstances out of the Promoter’s control (including by vandalism, power failures, natural disasters, acts of God, weather event, civil unrest, strikes, pandemics, government restrictions, computer bugs or viruses, tampering or technical failures), the Promoter reserves the right, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition, or invalidate any affected entries, acting reasonably and to the extent necessary to address the unforeseen circumstances and subject to the approval of any relevant gaming authorities, where required.

32. Subject to any rights you may have under applicable law, the Promoter assumes no responsibility for the following, except to the extent caused or contributed to by our own negligence:

(a) any error, omission, interruption, or delay in the operation or transmission of any communication sent to (or by) the Promoter whether caused by problems with communication networks or lines, computer systems, software or internet service providers, congestion on any carrier network or otherwise;

(b) any theft, destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of such communications;

(c) any problem with, or technical malfunction of, any computer system or other equipment used for the conduct of the Competition;

(d) if the 2027 Ampol State of Origin match hosted in Auckland, New Zealand is delayed, postponed or cancelled for any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; or

(e) any delay in delivery (when not directly caused by the Promoter or its supplier), or failure of safe delivery of a prize.

33.  If any dispute arises between an Eligible Entrant and the Promoter concerning the conduct of this Competition, the Promoter will, acting reasonably, consider your point of view, taking into account any facts or evidence you put forward, and to respond to it fairly within a reasonable time. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver ot those rights.

34. A winner accepts a prize at their own risk. Any tax liability arising as a result of acceting a prize is the responsibility of the winner. Independent financial advice should be sought.

35. To the full extent permitted by law, the Promoter, its associated companies and agencies and any of their personnel and suppliers (including third party suppliers), exclude all liability for any loss (including any damage, claim, injury, cost or expense) which is suffered or incurred by any Eligible Entrant in connection with the Competition or the prize, including without limitation:

(a) any indirect loss such as loss of business or other profits and

(b) any liability for personal injury or death. To the extent that such liability cannot be excluded by law, it is limited to the minimum allowable by law.

36. If requested by the Promoter and agreed by the winner, the winner will participate in reasonable promotional activities (such as publicity and photography) surrounding winning the prize, and consent to the Promoter using their name, likeness, image and/or voice (including any photograph, film and/or recording of them) in promotional material related to the Competition in any media at any time without notification or compensation, financial or otherwise. .  

37. Each Eligible Entrant completely releases Meta from any and all liability in relation to this Competition, and acknowledges that this Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Meta.   

PRIVACY STATEMENT AND MARKETING CONSENT

38. Personal information is collected from Eligible Entrants by or on behalf of the Promoter to enable the Promoter and its agents to manage, administer and promote the Competition and, where applicable, publicise the winner. The personal information may also be provided to persons assisting the Promoter, including prize suppliers and deliverers, marketing agencies and IT providers, and to gaming authorities, media outlets and related companies. The Promoter will disclose Eligible Entrants’ personal information and/or collect personal information about Eligible Entrants from persons to engage in its business functions and activities and for the purposes detailed in these Terms and  Conditions. By participating in the Competition (and/or accepting a prize), Eligible Entrants consent to these uses and disclosures of their personal information.

39. If an Eligible Entrant does not provide the personal information the Promoter requests, the Promoter may not be able to provide the requested quote. All personal information is handled in accordance with these Terms and Conditions and the Promoter’s Privacy Policy found at www.gio.com.au/privacy.Information about how to access or correct the personal information that the Promoter holds, or how to make a complaint, can be found in the Promoter’s Privacy Policy available online at www.gio.com.au/privacy.

40. Entry into the Competition also entitles the Promoter and any related companies that use the GIO brand (“we”/”us”) to let the Eligible Entrant know from time to time about news, offers, products and services they might be interested in (by any medium, including telephone, email, mail, SMS or online marketing). In order to carry out direct marketing, Eligible Entrants’ personal information will be collected from and disclosed to others that provide us with specialised data matching, trending or analytical services, as well as general marketing services. We, and other people who provide us with services, may combine the personal information collected from Eligible Entrants or others, with the information we, or other companies in the Suncorp Group, or our service providers already hold about Eligible Entrants. We may also use online targeted marketing, data and audience matching and market segmentation to improve advertising relevance. Each Eligible Entrant agrees that they must provide and/or maintain their consent to receive such marketing communications and not opt out of receiving such communications during the Competition Period.
