Compulsory Third Party insurance (CTP)
Compulsory Third Party (CTP) Personal Injury insurance, provides protection to the vehicle owner and ‘at fault’ driver, against compensation claims from people injured in a motor accident.
CTP is required by all vehicle owners in order to register their vehicles in the ACT.
Compulsory Third Party insurance (CTP) forms part of the payment made to Access Canberra to register or renew the registration of your vehicle in the ACT.

Driver Cover Plus
A CTP Green Slip provides protection against compensation claims from people injured in a motor accident, but cover for injuries sustained by the driver who causes the accident are limited. ^Cover provides specific serious injury benefits to eligible drivers. Available on passenger vehicles, utes and vans with GVM <4.5t only. Drivers under 25 are not eligible unless the vehicle is comprehensively insured with GIO.
