As a GIO customer, you can conveniently add a listed driver to your car insurance policy at any time by logging into GIO Online Services. Simply:

  • log in
  • select the relevant policy from the ‘My policy list’ you want to add the driver to
  • select the ‘Update my policy’ tab
  • click on ‘Add new driver’.

This will then prompt you to fill out the relevant information about the new listed driver you’re adding, such as their name, gender, and date of birth. Doing this may change your premium and any increase or decrease will be shown after updating the driver details.

If your policy is due for renewal, you can still update your details through GIO Online Services.

Once logged in:

  • select your policy up for renewal
  • choose the ‘Renew Policy’ option
  • update ‘Listed Drivers’ under the ‘Listed Drivers’ heading.

Note that the driver will be added from your renewal date. If you want them added immediately, please chat to us or call us on 13 10 10.
