1. To qualify for the 20% discount on the first year premium of an Eligible Policy (Discount), you must:
a. hold and have paid for a Current Active Policy;
b. purchase a new Eligible Policy; and
c. comply with these Terms and Conditions,
during the Eligibility Period (Eligible Customer). Details of Eligible Policies are in Table 1 of these Terms & Conditions.
2. To qualify for this Discount, you must purchase a new Eligible Policy via:
A. an online quote and purchase: purchase a Current Active Policy on gio.com.au and directly after access the unique URL/web address for this Discount that is made available by the Promoter (Unique Address); OR
B. direct communication to Eligible Customers: via the Unique Address which may be made available via a personalised email; OR
C. banner in Eligible Customer’s online account: via the Unique Address; OR
D. valid saved quote with this Discount applied; OR
E. GIO contact centre.
This Discount applies to the following Eligible Policies:

3. This Discount:a. only applies to the new Eligible Policy’s first year premium and doesn’t apply to current policies, subsequent renewals or any other changes to your policy. The policy must be a consumer policy;
b. does not apply to Optional GIO Roadside Assist and is not available in conjunction with any other promotional offers;
c. is applied before taxes and charges are added. If you are eligible for other discounts, we will apply each discount in a predetermined order to the already discounted premium.
4. If you apply for this Discount, you are not eligible to receive any other discount. If you are eligible for an online discount or this Discount, only one will be applied. If an online discount provides a greater discount than this Discount, this Discount will not apply.

6. All quotes provided are subject to AAI’s normal underwriting criteria. Eligible Customers should consider the relevant Product Disclosure Statement and consider whether the product is appropriate for them before making any decisions to purchase or continuing to hold a product.
7. The Promoter, GIO, reserves the right to
a. verify an Eligible Customer satisfies these Terms and Conditions;
b. vary, amend, extend, cancel, or withdraw, all or part of this promotion at any time and without notice at the Promoter’s sole discretion.
Save this Discount
8. During the Eligibility Period, an Eligible Customer may leave their details with the Promoter or sales consultant in the GIO Contact Centre so they can remain eligible to claim this Discount on the same terms as above before 30 June 2022 (Save this Discount).
9. To Save this Discount, the Eligible Customer must request future contact from the Promoter about one of the Eligible Policies by completing either of the following before the Eligibility Period ends:
a. Submitting their details via the Unique Address and requesting future contact from the Promoter before 30 June 2022; or
b. Speaking to a sales consultant in the GIO Contact Centre and requesting future contact from the Promoter before 30 June 2022
10. The Eligible Customer must continue to satisfy the Discount terms above, including holding a Current Active Policy, at the time of claiming the Discount.

12. To Save this Discount, the Eligible Customer must request future contact from the Promoter about one of the Eligible Policies by completing either of the following before the Eligibility Period ends:
a. Submitting their details via the Unique Address that is made available by the Promoter to Eligible Customers and requesting future contact from the Promoter before 18 December 2021; or
b. Speaking to a sales consultant in the GIO Contact Centre and requesting future contact from the Promoter before 18 December 2021
13. The Eligible Customer must continue to satisfy the Discount terms above, including holding a Current Active Policy, at the time of claiming the Discount.

during the Eligibility Period (“Eligible Customer”). Details of Eligible Policies are in Table 1 and 2 of these Terms & Conditions.
2. This PD only applies to the new Eligible Policy’s first year premium and doesn’t apply to current policies, subsequent renewals or any other changes to your policy.
3. If this PD is applied, you are not eligible to receive any other discount (including the Free Roadside Assist promotional offer) that is made available from time to time. This PD is not available in conjunction with any other offers.
4. To qualify for this PD, you must purchase a new Eligible Policy via one of the following means during the Eligibility Period:
A. Online Quote and Purchase
You must:
a. purchase a Current Active Policy on GIO.com.au; and
b. directly after accessing the unique URL/web address for this PD (“Unique Address”) that is made available by the Promoter; OR
B. Direct Communication to Eligible Customers
You must quote and purchase an Eligible Policy via the Unique Address sent to you by the Promoter via a personalised email; OR
C. Banner in Eligible Customer’s GIO Online Account

You must purchase a new Eligible Policy from a saved quote with this PD applied during the Eligibility Period; OR
E. Contact Centre
You must purchase a new Eligible Policy via the GIO Contact Centre.
5. This PD applies to the following Eligible Policies:

7. If you are eligible for an online discount or this PD, the Promoter will:
a. calculate whether this PD or the online discount offer provides a greater discount off the Eligible Policy’s premium; and
b. apply the offer that provides the greater discount.
For the avoidance of doubt, if an online discount provides a greater discount than this PD, this PD will not apply.
8. GIO Comprehensive Car Insurance counts as an eligible policy but this PD does not apply to GIO Roadside Assist if this optional cover is selected.

Save this PD
15. During the Eligibility Period, an Eligible Customer may leave their details with the Promoter or sales consultant in the GIO Contact Centre so they can remain eligible to claim this PD on the same terms as above before 31 July 2021 (“Save this PD”).
16. To Save this PD, the Eligible Customer must request future contact from the Promoter about one of the Eligible Policies by completing either of the following before the Eligibility Period ends:
a. Submitting their details via the Unique Address that is made available by the Promoter to Eligible Customers and requesting future contact from the Promoter before 31 July 2021; or
b. Speaking to a sales consultant in the GIO Contact Centre and requesting future contact from the Promoter before 31 July 2021
17. When the Promoter makes the requested future contact, they will provide the Eligible Customer the relevant details to claim the PD at that point in time (including any offer end dates).
18. The Eligible Customer must continue to satisfy the PD terms above, including holding a Current Active Policy, at the time of claiming the PD.
