Do I have to pay an excess for an incident if I am not at fault?
If your car is insured and involved in an incident where we agree that the driver of your car is not at fault, and you can give us the name and address of the at fault driver or the registration number of the at fault car, you will not have to pay an excess.
If you are unable to provide details of the at fault car at the time of lodging your claim you will be required to pay the applicable excess. If you are able to provide the details later then the excess can be refunded.
For more information on when you will need to pay an excess, please refer to the Product Disclosure Statement.
