Duty of Disclosure
When completing an application you have a duty of disclosure. This means you must tell the truth when you apply for cover and to disclose everything you know that may be relevant to the insurer's decision to insure you and on what terms. This duty of disclosure extends up until the time a policy is issued. If you fail to comply with this duty, your right to receive a benefit may be affected or the insurer may cancel your policy. This duty is set out in the Policy Disclosure Statement.
For information on what we do with your responses provided in your application please see our Privacy Statement.
Please also ensure that before you complete your application for cover that you have read and considered the Disclosure Statement which contains information such as the key features, benefits, exclusions and extent of the cover that you are applying for. If your application is underwritten the insurer may not agree to provide you cover or it may offer you cover on modified terms depending on the outcome of its assessment of your application.
