Free GIO Home Assist Conditions
1. This offer is for one (1) year of GIO Home Assist at no extra cost (“Offer”). Geographical limitations apply to the availability of GIO Home Assist.
a. 15/03/2021 to 30/09/2021 for the quote and purchase method in clause 3.a. (GIO Contact Centre only), and
b. 25/03/2021 to 30/09/2021 for the quote and purchase methods in clauses 3.b. to 3.d.
3. To receive the Offer, you must quote for and purchase a new GIO Home Building Insurance policy or combined GIO Home & Contents Insurance policy, with GIO Home Assist selected, during the applicable Offer Period and meet the other requirements in these terms and conditions (“Eligible Customer”). You must quote and purchase via one of the following means:
a. GIO Contact Centre;
b. Online at gio.com.au;
c. Direct communication to customers: quote and purchase via the unique address that is made available by the Promoter to customers, this may be via a personalised email; or
d. Banner in customer’s GIO Online Account: quote and purchase via the unique address that is made available by the Promoter to customers, in their GIO Online Account.
4. This Offer is not available in conjunction with any “Double Up Now and Save” promotion or other promotional offers which may run from time to time.
5. This Offer is not applicable to any GIO Home Contents policy (i.e. with contents cover only).
6. If you receive this Offer, the total premium payable for your new GIO Home Building Insurance policy or combined GIO Home & Contents Insurance policy with GIO Home Assist selected will be discounted by the amount that would otherwise be payable for GIO Home Assist (“Discount”).
7. The Discount is only applicable for the first year of a new policy and not on current policies, subsequent renewals or any other changes to a current policy. You may call GIO at the time of receiving any renewal documents if you do not want to purchase GIO Home Assist.
9. The Discount is applied to the premium before we add taxes and charges. If you are eligible for other discounts (in addition to this Discount), we will apply each discount in a predetermined order to the already discounted premium, usually before adding taxes and charges.
10. The Promoter and issuer of GIO Home & Contents Insurance is AAI Limited ABN 48 005 297 807 trading as GIO (“AAI”). Please consider the Product Disclosure Statement before making a decision to buy this insurance and the GIO Home Assist Terms and Conditions. Go to gio.com.au for a copy. GIO Home Assist is an optional cover only available in conjunction with home cover under GIO Home & Contents Insurance and is not available until 24 hours after adding it to your policy.
11. All quotes are subject to AAI’s normal underwriting criteria.
12. The Promoter reserves the right to verify a customer satisfies these terms and conditions.
13. The Promoter reserves the right to vary, amend, extend, cancel, or withdraw, all or part of this Offer at any time and without notice at the Promoter’s sole discretion.
