GIO's partnership with Qantas Business Rewards has now come to an end
If you purchased or renewed an eligible GIO Business insurance policy with a start date on or before 31 March 2018, please refer to the below terms and conditions.

You can earn:
- 1 Qantas Point for every dollar you pay (excluding GST) for GIO Business Insurance, GIO Trade Insurance, GIO Business Insurance for Professionals, GIO Commercial Motor Insurance, GIO Mobile Business Protect Insurance and GIO Workers Compensation Insurance (WA, ACT, TAS and NT only).
- You can earn Qantas Points by quoting your Qantas Business Rewards ABN number at the time of purchasing or before paying for an Eligible Product.
- GIO Business Insurance, GIO Trade Insurance, GIO Business Insurance for Professionals, GIO Mobile Business Protect Insurance and GIO Commercial Motor Insurance policies must be issued on or after 31 March 2014. GIO Workers Compensation Insurance (WA, ACT, TAS and NT only) policies must be issued on or after 30 June 2014 and must be purchased directly from GIO.
- You should allow 3 months from the date we receive your payment for your Qantas Points to appear in your Qantas Business Rewards Account.
- If you cancel your product within 30 days of policy inception you will not be eligible to receive any Qantas Points in respect of that product. If you cancel your policy at any other time or if premium is refunded to you for any other reason, we may deduct an amount of Qantas Points equivalent to any premium refunded from any future Qantas Points you would otherwise be entitled to under this Qantas Business Rewards Offer.
- For Eligible Workers Compensation Products, a maximum of 30,000 Qantas Points may be earned per annum for each policy.

- These Terms & Conditions apply to the Qantas Business Rewards Program offer offered by AAI Limited ABN 48 005 297 807 trading as GIO (‘GIO’) ("Qantas Business Rewards Offer").
- The Qantas Business Rewards Offer is available from 31 March 2014 and may be withdrawn at any time without notice. We recommend you read these Terms & Conditions in full.
- Participation in the Qantas Business Rewards Program Offer is deemed acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
- The Qantas Business Rewards Program Offer is available to customers of GIO who are members of the Qantas Business Rewards Loyalty Program who purchase an Eligible Product from GIO and who satisfy the Eligibility Criteria. The Qantas Business Rewards Program Offer is available to ABN holders and is not available to:
- Natural persons or entities that are not eligible to earn Qantas Points ("Points");
- Entities that have their principal place of business outside Australia; or
- Entities that have a corporate or other discount or rebate agreement with GIO, including through a third party arrangement.
- If you are not an existing Qantas Business Rewards Member and wish to sign up to take part in the Qantas Business Rewards Program, go to qantasbusinessrewards.com which will provide details on how to become a member and the terms and conditions of membership, including any applicable membership fee.
- Eligible Products means:
- GIO Business Insurance policies issued on or after 31 March 2014.
- GIO Trade Insurance policies issued on or after 31 March 2014.
- GIO Business Insurance for Professionals policies issued on or after 31 March 2014.
- GIO Mobile Business Protect Insurance issued on or after 8 May 2015
- GIO Commercial Motor Insurance policies issued on or after 31 March 2014. For avoidance of doubt, GIO Motor Fleet policies are not Eligible Products.
- GIO Workers Compensations Insurance policies issued in Western Australia, ACT, Tasmania and the Northern Territory on or after [30 June 2014].To be an Eligible Product, the policy must be purchased directly from GIO. Policies purchased through insurance intermediaries (e.g. insurance brokers) are not Eligible Products. For avoidance of doubt, GIO Workers Compensation Insurance policies issued in other States are not Eligible Products. (GIO Workers Compensation Insurance as described in this clause 6(e) is herein referred to as ‘Eligible Workers Compensation Product’)
- GIO Commercial Motor Insurance policies (Non fleet) defined as commercial motor vehicle insurance for businesses insuring up to 15 Vehicles each weighing no more than 2Tonne (dependent on type of vehicle and occupation)
- Other products issued by GIO may be added from time to time. For a current list of products, go to the Qantas Business Rewards website
- Customers who are current Qantas Business Rewards Program Members must quote their ABN, which is their Qantas Business Rewards Membership ABN to GIO at the time of purchasing an Eligible Product or before payment is made to earn Qantas Points. Customers can provide their ABN by contacting GIO on 13 10 10
- Any Points earned by customers of GIO in connection with this Qantas Business Rewards Program Offer will only be awarded to customers who satisfy the following eligibility criteria ("Eligibility Criteria"):
- Customers must be current members of the Qantas Business Rewards Program and must provide their ABN and Qantas Business Rewards Membership details to GIO at the time they purchase or renew an Eligible Product or before premium payment is made
- Qantas Points will only be earned in respect of premium paid for Eligible Products that have not been cancelled within 30 days of policy inception.
- Customers who make a payment in respect of an Eligible Product will earn one (1) Qantas Point for every dollar they pay (excluding GST. A maximum of 30,000 Qantas Points may be earned per annum for each policy
- Qantas Points will only be earned in respect of Eligible Products that have not been cancelled or returned within 30 days.
- If a customer cancels their policy at any other time or is owed a premium refund GIO may deduct an amount of Qantas Points equivalent to the amount of such premium refunds from any future Qantas Points that would otherwise be owed to the customer under this Qantas Business Rewards Program Offer.
- Points are calculated and awarded from the date of linking the Eligible Product to the Qantas Business Rewards Account. For the avoidance of doubt, points will not be awarded retrospectively.For Eligible Workers Compensation Products, a maximum of 30,000 Qantas Points may be earned per annum for each policy.
- For Eligible Workers Compensation Products, a maximum of 30,000 Qantas Points may be earned per annum for each policy.
- Qantas Points awarded in connection with the Qantas Business Rewards Program Offer will be issued to customers by Qantas on behalf of GIO.
- GIO does not charge any service fee to customers in relation to the award of Qantas Points in connection with the Qantas Business Rewards Program Offer.
- Redemption of Qantas Points awarded pursuant to the Qantas Business Rewards Program Offer is governed by Qantas Airways Limited ABN 16 009 661 901 ("Qantas") see Qantas Business Rewards Program Terms & Conditions at qantasbusinessrewards.com. If there is any inconsistency between the Qantas Business Rewards Program Terms and Conditions and these terms, the Qantas Business Rewards Program Terms and Conditions prevail.
- Customers should allow three (3) months for the Points to be credited to their Qantas Business Rewards Program Account.
- Information provided by you will be used by GIO for the purposes specified in the GIO Privacy Statement and for the purpose of conducting the Qantas Business Rewards Program Offer. As part of administering the Qantas Business Rewards Program Offer GIO may disclose your personal information including, but not limited to, your name, Qantas Business Rewards ABN and the number of Points to be issued pursuant to the Qantas Business Rewards Program Offer to Qantas. - In addition to the Offer, GIO may run additional promotions or specials in which customers may be eligible to earn additional Points.
- GIO reserves the right to vary the Terms & Conditions of the Qantas Business Rewards Program Offer at any time and to vary, suspend or terminate the GIO Qantas Business Rewards Program Offer at any time. - You should consult your accountant or tax advisor regarding any possible tax (including fringe benefits tax) implications, if any, related to their earning and use of Qantas Points under the Qantas Business Rewards Program Offer.
