Introduction to RTW Co-ordination (WorkCover Accredited) - 2 days

This WorkCover accredited course is designed to provide the knowledge and skills to effectively coordinate workplace injury and illness. In NSW, a category 1 employer (An employer with greater than 20 employees or a base tariff premium greater than $50,000 per year), is required under Workers’ Compensation legislation to employ or engage a person as a Return to Work Coordinator who must attend this course.

Key topics include:

• Overview of the WorkCover scheme;
• Employers Workplace Rehabilitation Program; and
• Role of the RTW Coordinator.

Demystifying Workers Compensation - 2 hrs

This simple and straightforward educational session is ideal for those looking for a basic understanding of workers compensation and how it affects their business. From the payroll officer to CFO, this session will look to answer some questions for the non expert.
This session will look at Workers Comp from a national perspective, with a focus on NSW.


 

Understanding Workers Compensation Wages - 4 hrs

This session is designed for Human Resources and Payroll staff or those paying/calculating Workers’ Compensation wages. It will provide you with the knowledge, practical skills and understanding that will enable you to accurately pay wages under Workers Compensation and submit Wage Reimbursement Schedules.


 

Strategic Workers Compensation Management - 2 days

This is a training program to assist your organisation to understand and effectively manage workers compensation claims, injury management and the return to work process. This program has been designed to provide Injury Management Coordinators and Management within your organisation with the information and tools to successfully manage injuries within the workplace.

Some of the modules covered within this program are:

• strategies to reduce workers compensation premiums;
• what to do when a claim occurs; and
• vocational rehabilitation.
